Narodno Pozorište je
nakon sedam godina ponovo otvoreno 1997g. Taj važan društveni događaj
bio je početak potrage za novim identitetom teatra. Nakon godina stvaranja
uspostavljen je redovni repertoar i postignut jedan od osnovnih ciljeva
… povratak publike.Pozorište sarađuje sa Fakultetom Dramskih umjetnosti
na Cetinju, tako da se svim novonastalim mladim glumcima pruža prilika
da svoju karijeru započnu na “daskama” ovog teatra. Brojne predstave
su uspješnim predstavljanjem širom svijeta, omogućile su publici neke
nove i značajne momente.

Festival "Grad teatar - Theatre City Budva"
je međunarodni, multimedijalni festival koji od 1987. godine njeguje
kult svečanosti i igre na otvorenim prostorima grada.Osnovan da bi
se obogatila turistička ponuda i podigao kvalitet života,Grad teatar
je tokom petanestogodišnjeg trajanja, uspio da ostvari spoj umjetničkog
stvaralaštva, tradicije i ambijenta
karakterističnog za ovaj kraj, kroz prožimanje drame, baleta, muzike,
likovnosti....Otvaranje prema inostranstvu, povratak evropskih turoperatora
i inostranih gostiju u Crnu Goru
naglasili su potrebu prestrukturiranja i pojačavanja internacionalne
dimenzije svih segmenata festivala.
Veći broj inostranih turista uticao je na promjenu strukture programa
u korist onih koji omogućavaju komunikaciju bez jezičkih barijera
(folklor, rituali, balet, teatar pokreta, ulična dešavanja, koncerti
i slično). Koncipiran tako da u programu dominira muzika, najvećim
dijelom festival je programiran prema televizijskom mediju i obezbijeđeni
su direktni TV prenosi.
Održava se svake godine u ljetnjem periodu – jul i avgust.

Otkada je osnovano, udruženje likovnih umjetnika je organizovalo značajne
izložbe u svim velikim centrima bivše Jugoslavije, kao i van granica.Kroz
mnoštvo bogatih likovnih aktivnosti, između ostalog organizovane
su izložbe eminentnih crnogorskih slikara: Mila Milunovića, Petra
Lubarde, Rista Stijovića, Jovana Zonjića, Miloša Vuskovića, Sava Vujovića,
Mate Đuranovića, Dada Đuriđa, Draga Đurovića, Voja Stanića … kao
i izložbe velikog broja slikara svih generacija.

Since it was established, the Artists’ Association
of Montenegro has been organizing exhibitions in all big centers of
former Yugoslavia and abroad. Through its rich exhibition activities,
it had organized exhibitions of eminent Montenegrin artists: Milo
Milunovic, Petar Lubarda, Risto Stijovic, Jovan Zonjic, Milos Vuskovic,
Savo Vujovic, Mata Djuranovic,Miodrag Dado Djuric, Dragoljub Drago
Djurovic, Vojo Stanic, and a great number of artists of all generations

PETAR LUBARDA (1905-1974)
For his work of painting and influence he had on development of post-war
painting in former Yugoslavia, Petar Lubarda (Cetinje, 27th July 1907
- Belgrade, 13th Feb. 1974) is the artist of outstanding importance.
He started his studies of painting at Artistic School in Belgrade
in 1925, and already in 1926 he went to Paris where he studied painting
independently in Parisian museums and galleries and participating
occasionally in group exhibitions. His first independent exhibition
was opened in Rome in 1929. In 1937 he participates in the international
exhibition in Paris, where he obtains the Grand Prix prize. He is
one of the founders of the first Artistic School in Montenegro, also
being one of its teachers. In 1951 he opens a historical exhibition
in Belgrade, which meant a radical modernist split with soc-realistic
style in painting in former Yugoslavia. After the success of the exhibition
in Belgrade, he opens two independent exhibitions in Paris. He is
a winner of a number of international awards, such as: International
Redemptory Award on the 2nd Biennial in Sao Paolo in 1953, First Prize
on biennial in Tokyo 1955, Herdevora Award in Vienna 1973. He had
study tours in India, France, Spain, Italy, Germany, Soviet Union,
Brazil, England, Belgium, Syria and Lebanon.
BRANKO FILIPOVIC- FILO (1924-
1998)

1924 born in Cetinje; 1942 - 1943 internated in Kavai/Albania; 1946
- 1950 studied at Art Schools Cetinje and Herceg Novi; 1955 finished
Academy of Fine Arts, Belgrade; between 1958 and 1971 several times
in Rome and Paris; 1997 died in Belgrade.

VOJO STANIC (1924)
Born in 1924 in Podgorica; graduated from the Art Academy of Belgrade,
department of sculpture. He taught at the School of Applied Arts in
Herceg-Novi for many years. He lives and creates as a free-lance visual
artist in Herceg-Novi. A member of the Academy of Science and Art
of Montenegro.
This artistic expression is marked by warm and sincere poetry the
sources of which spring up from primitive sensation and rise to grotesque
and irony.
In 1997 he exibited at the Biennal of Venice
Nikola Gvozdenovic
was born in 1934, in Gluhi Do, Montenegro. He studied
painting at the Art Academy in Belgrade, joined the class of professor
Milo Milunovic and completed his program in 1960. His graduate studies
he continued with the same professor and got his MA in 1962. He made
study tours all over the world (Italy, Germany, Chechoslovakia, Poland,
Switzerland, England, Spain, Turkey, Greece and USA). Alongside with
being a professor, he has had his works presented in some twinty one-man
shows and plenty of group exhibitions at home and abroad. He is a
member of the Montenegrin Visual Artists Association. Since 1988 he
has been living in Sutomore and works as a full professor at the School
